The meaning of GS certification is in German “Geprufte Sicherheit” (Security has been certified) and also have the meaning of “Germany Safety”. GS certification base on the German product safety law (SGS), was a kind of voluntary certification that according to the European Union standard EN or the German industrial standard DIN to carry on the test, and was a official German safety certification mark in Euro-market.

GS certification mark indicates that the product’s safety was passed the test of the independent certification body. Although GS certification mark it is not mandatory, but it enable the manufacturers to be strictly bound by the German (European) product safety law when accident caused by the product failure.
