General process of SABS certification
 

1. The manufacturer completes the application form;
2, if the factory has more than one factory, they are required to fill in another application form. Each product within the scope of certification is required to be reflected in the application form. In addition, the factory also needs to fill in the application form for the person credit form, and the person in charge should ensure the first review fee and other certification fees;
3, after receipt of the application form, the South African standards office will issue an audit quotation;
4. When the offer is accepted, the South African standards office will conduct factory inspections;
5, if the above review has been passed, the South African standards office will prepare the annual supervision contract;
6, two assessors will be reviewed annually, the annual fees for supervision and testing will be stated in the contract;
7, two auditors will spot check sample and take back to the laboratory;
8. Samples from future tests the South African Bureau of standards will be extracting from South African buyers, if the batch of goods is less than 4 times per year, then the sample will be mailed from the factory and the cost will be charged by the factory;
9, if the test result is not qualified, then the cost of the sample and the cost of the re test will be charged by the factory;
10, the validity of the certificate will be three years, unless there are other reasons to cancel the certificate.
