In general, families and offices are equipped with 110 volts (i.e., 127 volts) and 220 volts, two kinds of electrical sockets for different voltage appliances, Generally speaking, air conditioners and washing machines most use in 220 volts and small household appliances most use in 110 volts.
 
1. Saudi national standards begin with SASO (e.g., SASO1062 is the basic requirements for household electrical equipment), generally based on the IEC standard, and add the national differences.
2. The types of plugs and sockets used in Saudi Arabia shall meet the requirements of SASO 2203 and SASO 2204 (when 127V referring to the UL498 standard, when 220V, refer to the BS1363 standard).
 
3. Product labels, brochures and warnings should be in Arabic or Arabic and English at the same time, The product label should indicate the origin of the product.
