Applicant qualification of PSE certification
Must have the Japanese firm registered with the Japanese government, they can apply for registration with METI. For overseas manufacturers of specific products, if they want to prevent the bad cooperation of agents, they should change the product sales problems that the agents may bring, when the product test passes, to buy the suitability inspection certificate more, in order to register with a new agent to METI.
 
The application process of PSE certification
1.        Determine whether it is a specific product item: You can check the PSE regulation product in Product List (include A and B, two kinds of products), If the product is not in List, you do not need to apply. In addition, if is the newly developed products, it is best to decide whether the application is required by the designated Label.
2.       Documents to be submitted: (For Test Lab)
a.         Suitability for equal inspection application
b.         Type discrimination chart: Different products have different types of classification tables. The primary use of this table is that when the model being applied is a range of products, The Lab of the test should have this table so that it can be distinguished for a series. The form should be filled out by the applicant and referred to the Lab of the test to determine whether it can be used as a series of products. Take Power Supply as an example, different EI sizes (EI-41, 48or57etc,) can also be the same series, but different protection methods may not be series products.
c.          Outline of structure, material and performance: the manufacturer shall fill out this product form and provide it to the testing unit.
d.         The Related technical documents: Spec, (Transformer and complete product), instruction manual, Label, wiring diagram, PCB Layout and important parts list etc.
e.         Inspection equipment list: The manufacturer shall present a list of the equipment available in the factory and have a fixed format for reference.
f.           Sample: 2PC, important parts (Fuse, AC Outlet, Case, etc., need to provide 1~5PC, for replacement), etc.
g.         CB Certificate & Report
h.         Letter of authorization: authorized by manufacturer for agency application.
i.           Retirement sheet: When the sample needs to be returned, this form should be filled so that JET can return the Sample to the correct person and unit.
3.         a. documents should be submitted: (For METI apply for registration)
b.    Business begins declaration: Application for registration.
c.     Factory registration certificate
d.    The suitability equivalent of inspection certificate (only required in class A product), or Test Report (class B products): by Lab Issue.
e.    Inspection record of manufacturing process: The factory should record the production process, from the preparation, feedstock to random inspection.

4.         Factory inspection: If the factory does not have a factory registration certificate, it must to do the factory inspection. Factory inspection is performed by the unit designated by Lab, Currently, the JET designated units are: Taiwan - large power, mainland - CCIC.
