Building Instruction (CPD)

What is building instruction?

General Construction Directive refers to the number: 89/106 / EEC (referred to as CPD); each EU member states in order to ensure that its buildings and civil engineering in the design and construction of people, livestock (birds), the safety of property poses a threat , While at the same time meeting the other basic requirements for the maintenance of universal welfare; not only for the safety of buildings, but also for important factors relating to health, longevity, energy conservation, environmental protection, economic considerations and other public interests.

What is a building product?

Building Products "means any product that is permanently included in a building project, including buildings and civil works. Examples of building products include fire detection and fire alarm systems, architectural hardware, ceramic tiles, glass fiber for construction, flooring ,cleaning tools……

The basic requirements of building products?

The product must be suitable for the construction work that meets its intended use (separate parts of the entire project and project), taking into account economy, in which case the project must meet these requirements while complying with the regulatory requirements that contain the following basic requirements. In the case of normal maintenance, these requirements must be satisfied within an economically reasonable service life. This requirement usually involves predictable actions.

1, mechanical resistance and stability

The design and construction of a building must be such that the loads that it may sustain during construction and use do not result in the following accidents:

- The project collapsed in whole or in part;

- severe deformation to the extent not allowed;

- Severe deformation of the load-bearing structure, causing damage to other parts of the project or installation or equipment installed;

The damage caused by the accident is not commensurate with the original intention.

2, fire safety

Construction design and construction must be in a sudden fire:

- To maintain the carrying capacity of the structure for a specific period of time;

- To limit fire and smoke generation and spread within the project scope;

- to limit the spread of fire to nearby construction projects;

- to enable personnel to flee the project or otherwise be rescued;

- Make rescuers safe.

3, health, health and environment

The design and construction of a building project must be such that it does not constitute a threat to the health and well-being of people or neighborhoods within the project area. In particular, the following situations must not occur:

- Release toxic gases;

- harmful particles or gases appear in the air;

- release of harmful radiation;

- Contamination and poisoning of soil or water;

- Improper removal of waste water, smoke, waste or waste;

- Moist parts of the construction or its inner surface.

4, safe to use

The design and construction of the construction project shall not cause any unacceptable accidents such as slipping, dropping, colliding, burns, electric shock, explosion or the like during operation or use.

5, noise protection

The design and construction of the building works must keep the noise perceived by the people in the project area and nearby residents as low as possible, leaving their health intact and allowing them to sleep, rest and work in a satisfactory environment.

6, energy saving and insulation

Depending on the local climatic conditions and personnel conditions, the building works and its heating, cooling and ventilation installations must be designed and constructed with the minimum amount of energy required.
