The concept of CB authentication
 

IECEECB system is the first real international system for mutual recognition of safety test reports of electrical products. Multilateral agreements are formed between the national certification bodies (NCB) of different countries, the manufacturer may depend on a CB test certificate with a NCB to obtain national certification of other member states of the CB system.
The CB certification system is based on international IEC standards. If the national standards of some member states are not yet in line with the IEC standards, it is also allows for existence of national differences, but should be made available to other members. The CB certification system uses the CB certificate test to verify that the product sample has been successfully passed the appropriate test, and comply with the relevant IEC requirements and the requirements of the member states concerned.
The main objective of the CB certification system is to promote international trade, its means are to promote the harmonization of national standards and international standards and the cooperation of product certification bodies, to make manufacturers closer to the ideal "one test, many applicable" goals.
 
The scope of the CB certification system
The product covered by the CB certification system is the product within the IEC standard recognized by the IECEE system. When more than three Member States announce that they want and support certain standards to join the CB certification system, the new IEC standard will be adopted by the CB certification system. The current IEC standard is published on the CB certification bulletins and on the IECEE web site.
At present, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is not included in the CB certification system, unless it required by the IEC standard used. However, the CB certification system has begun to investigate its members' willingness to take EMC measurements together with security testing. The results of the survey will be published on the subject of the CB certification communiqué.
 
CB certification test certificate and CB certification test report
The CB test certificate is a formal CB system document issued by authorized NCB, The purpose is to inform other NCB: The tested product samples are identified as being in line with current requirements. The CB test certificate should not be used for advertising, but allow existing CB certificates to be used as reference material.
The CB certification report is a standardized report, It lists the requirements of the relevant IEC standards in a form by list. The report provides the results of all tests, measurements, validation, inspections and evaluations that required, these results should be clear and unambiguous. The report also contains photos, circuit diagrams, pictures, and product descriptions. According to the rules of the CB system, the CB test report is valid only when it is provided with the CB test certificate.
If a NCB has the necessary testing equipment and technical capabilities, it can test and evaluate products based on national differences in other countries. These additional tests, which are attached to the CB test report as an attachment, are usually approved by other approved NCB.
