BSMI is the English for Standard Inspection Bureau of Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs “ Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection“ The abbreviation for.

 

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, from July 1, 2005, products entering the Taiwan area should implement electromagnetic compatibility and safety supervision in two aspects. According to the different products, there are three authentication methods:

 

(1) Type approval batch inspection or verification entry (25 items)

 

Accounting machines, cash registers, analog or hybrid automatic data processors, portable automatic digital data processors, other automatic digital data processors, other automatic digital data processors, digital processing units other than heading 8471.41 or 8471.49, terminals, dot matrix list machines, laser list machines, Daisy wheel list machines, other list machines, Keyboards, image scanners, other input or output units, calculators with special program control or word processors with memory power, magnetic or optical readers, data entry devices for input data processors, other automatic data processors covered by section 8471, automated teller machines, uninterruptable power supplies (not exceeding 10 KVA), other uninterruptable power supplies 25 products, such as power supply, electrical machine with translation or dictionary function, drawing table with data processing system and drawing machine with machine and data processing system

 

(2) Verification login (2 items)

 

The two items such as "electrostatic converters for automatic data processors and their auxiliary units and communication devices" and "Other switching power supplies" have been changed from conformity declaration inspection to commodity verification registration.

 

(3) Declaration of conformity (25 items, 18 items for safety requirements)

 

(1) Machines with computing functions for recording, reproducing and displaying data, electronic calculators (not operated by an external power source), electronic calculators with list devices, other electronic calculators, other calculators, hard disk drives, flexible disk drives, optical drives, other disk drives, other storage units, other automatic data processing units, and other systems 8471.10 machine parts and accessories (limited to the inspection of Class B computer main board and Class B computer cards with I/O), a total of 17 items of the original conformity declaration of products.

 

2, word processors, automatic typewriters, electric typewriters, other electric typewriters, blind braille typewriters (weighing not more than 12 kg), blind braille typewriters (weighing not more than 12 kg), non-electric typewriters (weighing not more than 12 kg), other non-electric typewriters and other eight products are classified as Declaration of Conformity (DoC) tests.

 

3, electronic calculator (excluding external power supply operator), built-in magnetic (optical) disk drive, computer host board and insert card a total of seven items are not included in the scope of safety inspection.
