Introduction to SIRIM Certification
SIRIM is the only leading certification body in Malaysia. Any factory or company can apply to SIRIM and be audited and approved according to the accepted standards under the Product Certification System. These certifications are voluntary, but in many cases, mandatory certifications are required at the request of government administration.
Written information about the certification procedure can be obtained upon request.
The following qualifications can submit CB certificates and test reports:
Domestic or foreign manufacturers or
· Manufacturer authorized agent
The following files need to be submitted:
Complete signed < < Product Certification Questionnaire 1 > >
cb Test Report copy
Upon receipt of the above documents, the quotation of application fee and factory inspection fee will be informed
After agreeing to the quotation, the applicant should provide < < Application for Product Certification > >
No sample is required if not requested
The first factory inspection must comply with the product certification system, and if it does, a certificate will be issued
The certificate is valid for one year, and in order to ensure that the certificate is renewed, annual checks must be performed
Market surveillance is also performed at the same time
Subsequent sample testing may occur
Complaints and appeals to the NCB shall be submitted in writing to the General Manager of SIRIMQAS Certification and Inspection Services.
