2, class telecommunications equipment requires mandatory certification:
(1) Type I:
A, terminal equipment connected via an endpoint to a fixed switching telephone service (FSTS) network;
B, equipment connecting private telecommunications networks to FSTS networks;
C, equipment connected to the FSTS network for the purpose of providing value-added services.
(2) Type II:
A, any equipment that uses a radio not covered by type I, such as low-voltage devices, unauthorized equipment, and antennas.
(3) Type III:
A, any equipment not covered by Type I or II that is regulated by ANATEL's rules and regulations.
3,NATEL certificate precautions
A, all products in ANATEL's published list require certification
B, the book/authorized holder (importer, manufacturer) must be legally recognized in Brazil
C, certificates are valid until cancelled, the other two types of certificates are valid for two years;
D, manuals, installation guides and warning signs must be in Portuguese. Other documents can be in English;
E, the product must have an identification plate, which should contain the following information: ANATEL logo certification number (bar code); Name of the manufacturer; Year of manufacture; Model number; Serial number; The distributor's registration number.
