VDS Schadenverhü tung GmbH is part of the German Insurance Industry Association (GDV) and consists of four operating divisions: Fire, Security, Training/Intelligence and VDS Distribution.

VDS employs approximately 300 people at its headquarters in Cologne, Germany, and at various subsidiaries in the country and abroad. The success of VDS cannot be separated from their high level of professional competence and responsibility.

VDS and its specifications have been approved by DIN, ISO and EN   Standard testing and certification (e.g. according to European Standard 45,000). VDS is a member of the European Fire and Safety Group (EFSG).

 

VDS Lab introduction

    VDS has a fully equipped laboratory at its disposal where category and system testing of fire protection and theft prevention products can be carried out. In addition to advanced technology and innovative test procedures, there are also engineers with a wealth of knowledge and years of experience.

    From prototype testing in the product development stage to the formation of VDS certified end products, we will provide full support to manufacturers. This shortens time to market and provides a competitive advantage to manufacturers. Within the certification framework of CE marking or VDS certification, fast and non-cumbersome testing procedures are very useful. Our experienced engineers can support you in the selection and application of the required standards and rules. VDS LABS has got “ German Technology Accreditation body ” (DATech) identification.
