FCC Certification process and method

 

1. Declaration of conformity: The responsible party (manufacturer or importer) will test the product in the FCC-designated qualified testing institution and make a test report. If the product meets the FCC standard, it will attach the corresponding label on the product, declare in the user manual that it meets the FCC standard, and retain the test report for FCC requirements.

 

2, apply for ID, first apply for an FRN, used to fill in other forms. If you are applying for an FCC ID for the first time, you will need to apply for a permanent Grantee Code. While waiting for FCC approval to distribute the Grantee Code to the applicant, the applicant should take the time to have the device tested. The FCC should have approved the Grantee Code when all FCC required submissions are ready and the inspection report is completed. The applicant uses this Code, test report, and required materials to complete FCC Form 731 and Form 159 online. Once the FCC receives the Form 159 and the remittance, the application for certification begins. The average time it takes the FCC to process an ID application is 60 days. At the end of the process, the FCC will send the Original Grant of the FCC ID to the applicant. After receiving the certificate, the applicant can sell or export the corresponding products.

 

FCC Certification prototype

 

1. At least one qualified prototype should be provided for each certified model. (Two or more units are recommended)

 

2, the prototype provided must be guaranteed to be a formally qualified prototype, and its internal electrical structure and appearance must be consistent with the batch prototype exported later

 

3, the trademark model on the prototype must be clear and reliable

 

Materials to be submitted for FCC certification

 

The full name and detailed contact address of the manufacturer applying for FCC certification and the party applying for FCC certification. A copy of the installation and use manual of the certified product will be provided to the user. (If the product does not already have a user manual, a draft copy of the relevant content can be provided.) Electrical schematics and working principles of the product are explained. (If the product has a ground or antenna, it should be described) A table of the operating oscillation frequencies of the product in question, which should list the signal propagation path and the corresponding oscillation frequencies. Other product features that need to be explained.

1. Relevant documents should be in both Chinese and English.  

2, in order to shorten the certification cycle, the information provided is best in the form of electronic documents.  

3, in the certification process, for some special circumstances, the enterprise may need to submit other additional relevant information.
