The European Union officially released EN 303 345 test standards for FM, AM, DAB and DRM broadcast receiver equipment in 2019 and February 2020 respectively. The general requirements and test methods for sound broadcast receivers have been updated, as well as the harmonized standards for AM/FM/DAB/DRM broadcast receivers. Here is a technical comparison of the old and new versions to give you a clearer picture of the latest requirements of the standard.
EN 303 345 Differences between old and new versions
Final Draft EN 303 345 V1.1.7 2017-03 contains test signals of AM, FM, DAB, DRM and test methods and limits; This standard is divided into the following five parts:
EN 303 345-1 V1.1.1 2019-06 for general measurement requirements and methods; The official version.
EN 303 345-2 V1.1.1 2020-02 Harmonized standard for the use of the radio spectrum in AM broadcast receivers; The official version.
Draft EN 303 345-3 V1.1.0 2019-11 Harmonized standard for the use of the radio spectrum in FM broadcast receivers; The draft version.
Draft EN 303 344-5 V1.1.0 2019-11 Harmonized standard for the use of the radio spectrum by DAB broadcast receivers; The draft version.
EN 303 345-5 V1.1.1 2020-02 is the harmonized standard for the use of the radio spectrum in DRM broadcast receivers. The official version.
The new standard has deleted the test of received radiation spurious, the test frequency of AM has changed, and the test limit has changed. In general, product testing requirements for other functions have not changed much except for AM products.
