Floor decoration material testing and certification
As an important part of building decoration materials, ground materials (floors) are more directly related to our lives. Therefore, their circulation in the market has become important.
Ground materials (floors) should highlight their unique quality characteristics to meet market requirements. Good floors must be beautiful, durable, well-made, and must not contain substances that are harmful to health.
Floor EU CE certification
For the European market, the European Commission pointed out that on March 1, 2008, solid wood flooring and engineered wood flooring exported to Europe must be affixed with a CE certification label (must comply with the Construction Products Directive CPD 89/106/EEC EU standard EN14342); laminate flooring, PVC flooring, resilient flooring and other floor materials must be affixed with a CE certification label (comply with the Construction Products Directive CPD 89/106/EEC, EN14041) when exported to Europe starting from March 2007.
At the same time, for the CE certification of wooden flooring, laminate, resilient flooring and carpet, an EU notified body with floor certification qualifications should be selected to conduct testing, evaluation and certification according to System 3 (described on the certificate). Only in this way can it be recognized by the majority of European buyers, especially large buyers, and truly and effectively circumvent European technical barriers and be sold freely.
The coordinated standards cited by European CE certification are:

The national standards that have been officially promulgated and implemented in my country include "National Standard for Solid Wood Flooring GB/T15063-94", "National Standard for Impregnated Paper Laminated Wood Flooring (Laminate Wood Flooring) GB/T18102-2000" and "National Standard for Solid Wood Composite Flooring GB/T18103-2000". The industry standard for bamboo flooring has been formulated and is about to be issued. The national standards for integrated wood flooring and cork flooring are being formulated or submitted for approval. Before the standards are promulgated, my country's manufacturers all produce according to the standards of similar products in the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries.
In addition: The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China jointly issued the "Second Batch of Products to be Implemented Compulsory Product Certification Catalogue" (i.e. "3C Certification") on January 15, 2004. It clearly stipulates that solvent-based wood coatings, porcelain tiles, and concrete antifreeze agents must pass the compulsory 3C certification. From August 1, 2005, all decoration and renovation products included in the catalogue that have not obtained a compulsory product certification certificate and have not affixed the China Compulsory Certification Mark ("3C" mark) shall not be shipped, sold, imported, or used in other business activities.
