Japan VCCI Certification Introduction
 

Japan's VCCI certification is specifically for the electromagnetic emission control of IT equipment, which belongs to the product EMC certification, which is different from the certification system for a variety of products in other countries. VCCI certification is optional and based on voluntary principles, but is used by many companies to prove the quality of their products. Therefore, VCCI certification is only theoretical “ Voluntarily ” Market pressure has led to its actual implementation. Only VCCI laboratory members are eligible for this certification, that is, only laboratories with VCCI authorization can issue such reports. VCCI's membership is worldwide, not limited to Japan.

 

Manufacturers need to be a member of the VCCI to use the VCCI label, and manufacturers worldwide can become members of the organization by paying a membership fee and an annual membership fee. That is, after customers get the product test report, they have to go to VCCI to pay the entry fee and membership fee before they can use the VCCI label, which is the so-called registration procedure to Japan.

 

Products that pass the VCCI standard will allow the correct VCCI label to be affixed to the product. A product's Class A label must indicate that the product complies with the RF radiation terms, whereas Class B products only need to display the basic VCCI logo.
