CB FAQ
◆ In which countries can CB certificates and reports be used?
◆ Can I apply for CB certificate at the same time when applying CCC/CQC certificate?
Agreed. Apply for CB waiver of application fee at the same time as CCC/CQC, and obtain two certificates in one application.
◆ Does CB certification include factory inspection?
Not included. CB certification is for sample testing only. If you need to carry out factory inspection when converting foreign certification marks, you can contact CQC, which has signed a mutual entrustment agreement for factory inspection with many foreign institutions.
◆ Why should I specify the country/region to be exported when applying for CB certificate?
When applying for CB certificate, the applicant should pay attention to explain the country/region to be exported to CQC and CBTL first, so that the certification body can help understand the difference in standards in the country, arrange the difference experiment in time, and avoid the applicant to make up the experiment when applying to foreign certification bodies/testing bodies, delaying the accreditation process and investing more costs.
◆ Is there only one factory on a CB certificate?
Not really. Each CB certificate can simultaneously cover several factory sites producing the same type of product.
◆ What should I pay attention to when using CB certificate?
1. CB certificate must be presented together with CB test report to be valid.
2. Although there is no validity period for CB certificates, certificates older than 3 years may be challenged.
