Some terms of CB certification
IECEE says “ The IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment” – “ International Electrotechnical Commission Electrical products Conformity Testing and Certification Organization” .
The official name of the CB system is “ Scheme of the IECEE for Mutual Recognition of Test Certificates for Electrical
Equipment” – “ IECEE electrical product test certificate mutual recognition system” .
The abbreviated name of the CB system means “ Certification Bodies’ Scheme” – “ Certification body system” .
The National Certification Body (NCB) is a certification body that issues nationally recognized certificates of conformity to electrical products. To become a member of the CB system, NCB's internal quality systems and technical capabilities must meet specific requirements. An NCB can be classified as an accredited NCB or an accredited/accredited NCB according to its qualifications.
Approved NCB
An NCB recognizes CB test certificates and CB test reports issued by other issuing NCBS as the basis for issuing its own national certificates and marks within a specific product area and standard.
The NCB does not automatically have the power to issue CB test certificates.
Certification/Approval NCB
The issuing NCB, in addition to exercising the function of recognizing the NCB, has the power to issue CB test certificates within the criteria for which it is registered.
Certification/Accreditation The scope of accreditation of the NCB may be greater than the scope of its certification. Certification and scope of approval are published on the website related “ Scope ” In the area.
A CB laboratory (CBTL) is a CB accepted laboratory that conducts tests on one or more product categories and issues CB test reports under the responsibility of a specific NCB. A CB lab can work with different NCBS in a CB framework, but when it works with multiple NCBS, testing for a defined product category (e.g., OFF) can only be done with one NCB.
