In June 2009, the Certification Management Committee (CMC) of the IECEE CB system formulated the resolution ACAG/1398/DSH that lithium batteries need to comply with the IEC 62133 standard. And the corresponding timetable (three stages) is made. However, due to the ongoing upgrade of the IEC62133 standard (which is not expected to be officially released until this year), and the CB Committee of Testing Laboratories (CTL) compared the current version of the IEC62133 standard with standards such as UL, the final decision to postpone the implementation of the resolution. The CMC has reformulated the initial post-delay IEC 62133 import schedule as follows:
2011.5.1 ~ 2012.5.1 Cells that only pass UL 1642 certification cannot be directly accepted, and the differences between IEC 62133 and UL 1642 must be tested.
