Details after UL certification test
After the UL test is completed, the project test engineer will tell you whether the product meets the UL certification requirements. If it meets the UL person and that requirement, the test engineer will make a complete UL test data report. The test data will also be used for tracking services and serve as the basis for tracking service details.
The Tracking Service Specification is a document that details the structure of a product that has been tested for UL certification and meets UL certification requirements. UL field representatives will use this document as a guide to conduct periodic UL certified product inspections at the plant.
Before a UL certified engineer can send you a test report, you must agree to participate in UL's tracking service program. You must sign and return a follow-up inspection report to indicate your participation in the program. Usually, this document will be sent a few days after the application form is sent.
If for some reason your product does not meet the requirements of UL certification, the test engineer will inform you of the non-compliance. If you choose to change the product and are willing to repeat the testing, you can contact the engineer who was originally responsible for your project to re-test the necessary items.
If you have questions about test results, the understanding of a requirement, or UL's decision, UL's appeals process enables you to be heard by UL's governing body without fear of compromising your relationship with UL.
