Introduction of CSA Certified Factory Inspection report
CSA Certified Factory Audit Report (FAR) is a legal document signed by CSA inspectors during factory inspection to record the status of CSA certified products produced by the factory and confirm whether the safety features of CSA products in actual production meet the requirements of CSA related standards. The report is usually in triplicate, with the green pages reserved for the CSA; Red pages reserved for factories; The yellow pages are reserved for CSA Inspection centers.
Factory inspection report FAR style, the specific project description is as follows:
Item A: Document the plant's code, certification master contract number, and factory contract number.
Item B: Name of the applicant for certification.
Item C: Address of the certified applicant.
Item D: Name of the factory.
Item E: Address of the factory.
Item F: Frequency: Record the frequency of factory inspections, that is, the number of factory inspections per year, usually 2 or 4.
Code G: indicates that this test is a telephone interview test.
Item G: List the information of the product to be checked in this inspection, usually the name, model, electrical and related parameters and serial number of the product
Item H: Record whether the structure and material of the tested product are consistent with the certification report; Is the factory aware of the latest CSA technical Notices (e.g., CSA Certification Notices, Informs or Bulletins) and their effective date?
Project I: Document the actual process of factory inspection, including: inspection of the production area of the factory, confirmation of factory tests, and product verification.

If all the products tested meet the requirements of the certification report, the conclusion of the inspection is recorded as satisfactory.
If the inspected product is found to be inconsistent with the certification report (such as: changes in product structure and size; Parts are replaced, certification marks have changed, etc.), will be detailed record the found product changes, and indicate whether to accept the change.
File number: Record the certification number and project number of the certification project to which the inspected product belongs.
Code: Record the code corresponding to the factory inspection results for CSA internal statistical archiving.
Item J: If the certification report requires routine factory safety testing of the product of concern, document the actual factory testing content in this item, including the items tested, the specific parameters tested, the rate at which the tests were performed, and the calibration period of the test instruments.
Item K: Determine whether the tested product complies with the relevant standards and notices in force.
Item L: List the standards, Notices, Bulletins and other relevant requirements used in this inspection.
Item M: Records of finished products and parts sampling. If samples of products of concern are requested to be sent to CSA Canada for re-testing, a separate form will be attached to record the items and quantities sampled.
Item N: Record of product identification. Determine whether the safety mark on the product of concern meets the requirements of the certification report, and if it does not meet the requirements, the discrepancies found will be recorded.
Item O: Document the actual content of the product identification and its identification method.
Item P: If the inspected product is found to be inconsistent with the certification report, this item is used to record the nonconformity and the corresponding corrective action, and guide the factory to improve its product to meet the requirements of the certification report.
Item Q: Record the number of CSA labels retained by the factory and the corresponding series number. (Applicable only to products requiring CSA labels)
Item R: Record whether nonconformities found in previous factory inspections have been corrected; Record whether the CSA certification mark has been removed from the inspected product.
Item S: The factory representative and the CSA representative sign both sides (including block letter signature), acknowledging the content of this report.
