CE certification project

Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC)

With the development of electrical and electronic technology, household appliances are becoming increasingly popular and electronic, radio and television, post and telecommunications and computer networks are becoming increasingly developed, and the electromagnetic environment is becoming increasingly complex and deteriorating, making the electromagnetic compatibility of electrical and electronic products (EMC electromagnetic interference EMI and electromagnetic anti-EMS) issue is also paid more and more attention by governments and manufacturers. The European Community government stipulates that from January 1, 1996, all electrical and electronic products must be certified by EMC and affixed with the CE certification mark before they can be sold in the European Community market. This has caused a wide impact in the world, and governments have taken measures to implement mandatory management of RMC performance of electrical and electronic products. According to the EU's Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2014/30/EC, all electronic and electrical products sold in the EU market must strictly comply with EU legal requirements in terms of their interference with other products and their resistance to external influences. -- -- -- < a href = "http://www.globalgd.com/" > < strong > CE certification body < / strong > < / a > < / div >

EMC Directive

In addition to the 89/392 Machinery Directive on the dangers of machinery, in order to harmonize the allowable levels of electromagnetic interference in the Member States of the European Union, the Council of the European Union published on 3 May 1989 a harmonization of the laws relating to electromagnetic compatibility between the Member States. Electromagnetic compatibility directive (ElectromagneticCompatibilityDirective, 89/336 EEC, EMC directive), followed by 92/31 / EEC, 93/68 / EEC secondary revision. The latest EMC Directive of the European Union is 2004/108/EC, and the EMC tests conducted by our company are all carried out within the scope of the requirements of the directive.

What is Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)?

Before describing the process that complies with the EMC directive, define EMC as follows:

When a device or device is operated at the same time as other devices, its ability to work normally will not be affected by electromagnetic interference problems. That is, include:

EMI (ElectromagneticInterference)/electromagnetic interference: < / div >

A signal that a device or device has an adverse function during operation is unwanted and meaningless, which may come from the outside world or from oneself.

Electromagnetic interference can be divided into two directions:

· CE(ConductedEmission) : Conduction radioactivity

· RE(RadiatedEmission) : radioactivity

EMS (ElectromagneticSusceptibility)/electromagnetic tolerance < / div >

The ability of a device or apparatus to operate without being affected by the surrounding electromagnetic environment.

Electromagnetic tolerance can be considered in two directions:

· CE(ConductedSusceptibility) : Conductive radioactivity

· RE(RadiatedSusceptibility) : Radiation susceptibility

※ What equipment needs to comply with the EMC Directive?

According to Directive Article2.1, the EMC Directive shall apply to all equipment which is prone to electromagnetic interference or whose functions are susceptible to electromagnetic interference.

The instruments and equipment listed in the vicinity of the EMC Directive are as follows:

· Home radio and TV receivers

· Industrial Manufacturing Equipment

· Mobile radio

· Mobile radio and Commercial mobile phone

· Medical and Scientific Equipment

· Information Technology Equipment

· General Electrical and Household Appliances

· Wireless equipment for aviation and Marine use

· Educational electronic equipment

· Telecommunication Networks and Instruments

· Radio and television transmitters

· Lighting and fluorescent lamp

※ Are industrial products required to comply with the relevant standards of the electromagnetic Compatibility Directive?

· EN55011: Limitsandmethodsofmeasurementofradiointerferencecharacteristicsofindustrialelectricaldevice < / div >

· EN50081-2: Electromagneticcompatibility - Genericemissionsstandard < / div >
