è Switch fixture (NBR NM 60669-1)
è Circuit breakers (NBR IEC 60947-02 and NBR NM 60898)
è Wires and cables (NBR NM 247, NBR 13249 and others)
è Plug and socket adapters (NBR 14936)
è Inductive ballasts (NBR 5114 and NBR 5172)
è Electronic ballasts (NBR 14417 and NBR 14418)
n Household Appliances :
è Water dispenser (NBR 335-1 and IEC 60730-2-8)
è Water filter (NBR 14908 and NBR 15176)
n It Equipment :
è Voltage Stabilizer (NBR 14373)
After July 2011: Mandatory certification with all home appliances

INMETRO has also introduced the Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme (PROCEL)

3. audit ANATEL will do the verification of the documents

Department III: ANVISA (National Health Supervision Authority) explains the certification requirements and main rules for general medical devices:
Main rules:
2007 Directive Resolution (RDC)
n The registration process is defined as mandatory;
n Basic procedures for registration;
n The certification is a required registration procedure;
n Specification Directive (IN) 08 in 2009
n The criteria apply to mandatory registration procedures on the list;
n Applicable IEC 60601-1 medical devices shall comply with INMETRO certification rules.

General characteristics
Participation of some certification bodies;
Testing: only in accredited laboratories in Brazil;
Samples: collected from local dealers in Brazil;
Noise level certificate: issued by the certification body;
Directly applicable to the use of the Selo Ruido label authorized by the Environmental Institute by a Brazilian legal declaration or importer.
