Does the ROHS test have to measure 6 harmful substances?
The six hazardous substances tested by ROHS included four heavy metals and two brominated flame retardant organics. When testing, the sample needs to be divided into the smallest physical unit (a single material), if the material is ceramic, glass, metal, because it is not flammable, so the test mainly does the content analysis of four heavy metals. If the material separated is plastic (due to the power supply, housing, transformer, etc., which will generally add flame retardants), then it is usually necessary to do all six tests.
In short, the general rule is: do six tests for materials that have the potential to be flammable, and do four tests for non-flammable materials. --
