Introduction to REACH Certification Directive
1, What is the REACH certification directive:
That is, “ Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals; Registration, evaluation, licensing and restriction of chemicals ” . This is the European Union regulation for the preventive management of all chemicals entering its market, which will be officially implemented on June 1, 2007.
2, REACH certification implementation purpose:
Protecting human health and the environment and maintaining and improving the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry; Increase the transparency of chemical information; Reduce vertebrate testing; Consistent with the EU's international obligations under the WTO framework; In a substantive sense, REACH will create a harmonized chemicals management system across the EU, enabling companies to produce new chemicals and their products in accordance with harmonized principles.
3, the main content of REACH certification:
Registration: Registration is required for all chemical substances with an annual production or import of more than 1 ton, and chemical safety reports should also be submitted for chemical substances with an annual production or import of more than 10 tons;
- Evaluation: includes dossier evaluation and material evaluation. File evaluation is to check the completeness and consistency of the registration files submitted by enterprises. Substance assessment is to identify the risks of chemical substances to human health and the environment;
- Authorization: Authorizing the production and import of chemical substances with certain dangerous properties and causing great attention, including CMR(carcinogenic, mutagenic and biotoxic substances), PBT(persistent, biorich and toxic chemicals), vPvB(highly persistent, highly biorich chemicals), etc.;
