The European railway standards EN 50126, EN 50128 and EN 50129 are developed by the European Committee for Standardization of Electronic Technology. The standard, as referred to in the title Railway applications, applies not only to large rail systems, but also to light rail and urban mass transit, including pedestrian mobility systems. The International Electrotechnical Commission and the European Committee for Standardization of Electronic Technology have worked closely together to begin the application of these standards and to make them world leaders in their fields of application.
